Hii inaweza ikakushangaza kidogo unapoisikia kwa mara ya kwanza lakini tafiti nyingi zimeonyesha kuwa mafuta ya nazi yanao uwezo kuziamusha seli na shughuli za ubongo na katika kufanya hivyo kutasaidia kuzuia matatizo ya uwendawazimu au ukichaa (dementia) na kupoteza kumbukumbu (Alzheimer).

Mafuta ya nazi kwa afya ya Moyo:

Mafuta ya nazi yana asidi mhimu sana kwa afya ya moyo iitwayo ‘lauric acid’ ambayo ina uwezo mkubwa kuuweka moyo wako katika hali ya afya na furaha kwa kuidhibiti kolesteroli/lehemu mbaya katika moyo na mwili kwa ujumla. Lauric acid huongeza uwepo wa kolesteroli nzuri mwilini ijulikanayo kwa kitaalamu kama High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) huku ikiishusha ile kolesteroli mbaya ijulikanayo pia kwa kitaalamu kama Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) jambo ambalo ni mhimu kwa afya ya moyo kama anavyosema Lovisa Nilsson, mtaalamu wa lishe wa Lifesum.

Mafuta ya nazi huuongezea nguvu mfumo wa mmeng’enyo wa chakula:

Hii ndiyo moja ya faida ya mafuta ya nazi niipendayo zaidi. Ndiyo mafuta ya nazi yanayo uwezo kusaidia kudhibiti uzito uliozidi kwa sababu mafuta haya ni mepesi kumeng’enywa na hayagandi kama yalivyo mafuta mengine mazito (fatty acids) jambo linalosaidia kuuondoa uzito uliozidi mwilini.
