There are three types of muscles in the human body: skeletal, smooth, and cardiac muscles. Skeletal muscles are attached to bones and are responsible for voluntary movements of the body. Cardiac muscles are found exclusively in the heart and are responsible for pumping blood throughout the body. They are striated like skeletal muscles but are involuntary in nature. Cardiac muscles have a unique ability to contract rhythmically without fatigue. All three types of muscles are essential for the proper functioning of the body and play different roles in maintaining overall health and movement.
