A story is told about a young Thomas Edison who came home one day with a paper for his mother.

He told her
β€œMy teacher told me to give this paper only to my mother”

Thomas’ mother read the note and her eyes filled with tears. Thomas asked his mother what the note said, and she read aloud:
β€œYour son is a genius. This school is too small for him and doesn’t have enough good teachers for training him. Please teach him yourself”

And that’s exactly what Thomas’ mother did; she home-schooled her child with devotion and dedication.

As the story goes, many years later after Thomas Edison’s mother passed on, and he was now one of the world’s greatest inventors, he found a folded paper among other family items. He opened the very same paper that had been handed to him to give to his mother and read the following message:
β€œYour son is mentally ill. We won’t let him come to school anymore”

At that moment, Edison realised what his mother had done for him so many years ago.

He wrote in his diary: β€œThomas Alva Edison was an addled child that, by a hero mother, became the genius of the century”

In the book of Proverbs we learn: β€œThe words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.”

Can you imagine what might have happened to Thomas Edison if his mother had read to him the reckless and hurtful words written by his foolish teacher?

He might never have invented the light bulb or made his many other contributions to society.

Thank God for the wisdom and wise words of his mother! She created the context in which her son could grow to his full potential.

Let’s take this message to heart and resolve to use our words for healing today.

You might be a parent, what do you say to your children.

You might be a teacher, what do you say to your student… especially the ones that are not really performing well presently.

What do you say about your parents, family, boss, subordinate, leader, colleague, follower

Just as hurtful words can cause uncontrolled damage for life, so can wise words positively affect a person for life.

May the words you use today change a life for the better

.

πŸ“Œ Short love story

SHORT LOVE STORY 1.I stood at the bus stop near the National bank with my earphones on.The Egerton welfare bus had taken long beforearriving.I kept on glancing side from side and watched people walk in diffrent direction with least interest.Just then, a cute lady came talking over the phone towards me.The smile she put on her face was heartmelting. She was fairly tall with long silky black hair thattouched almost the middle of her back, her eyes were shiny and attractive.I stared in her direction as she leisurely paced towards me.As she approached where i was standing, i quickly turned to my phone and started pressing it aimlessly in pretence. She walked passed me without throwing aglance!Just then, the bus screeched into the parking lot hooking loudily to alert those students whowere unware. As i climbed the second step in the bus, a thought came to me,"i will not be able to see this woman again, what the hell! This is a God given chance"I climbed down from the bus and paced in the direction of where she was walking.I stretched my neck over the crowded street and saw her black hair sway from side to side as she leisurely walked.I followed her at a safe distance admiring her figure from behind.I wasnt worried getting to school late. No.Just then, she pulled herself to a bookstall and started glancing at the books as she read the cover.I moved there, and pretended i wanted to buy a book. As she did, i went through the books picking a book after the other, read the cover and droppd it back to the stall. She accidentally touched a pile of books at the edge of the stall and in one fall, the books wentdown like an avalanche.I bent down assisted her to rearange the books back as our eyes met for the first time. She made me to blush alittle! She then left and walked along the street briskly glancing at her phone at some point.I followed her for i didnt know why i couldnt ask her name. She glanced at the back and noticed i was tracing her.I looked left, right, here there pretending i wasnt intrestd in her.She kept on glancing at the back maybe to catch me offgaurd, and that made me uncormfortable and at some point i bent downto tie my shoe laces,or i could turn and start walking in the opposite direction.I saw her cross the street and entered the building directly opposite Easy coach booking office.I couldnt cross immediately because of the damn traffic!I made myself past the slow moving cars and dashed into the bulding. As i made my way in, i saw her enter the Lift as the door closed swiftly, indicating 6th floor.I took the stairs climbing like a racing moving star.As i arrived on the 6th floor puffing and huffing, she dashed out from a certain office and my eyes met with hers!I stood still, my heart beat increased, i was dumbfounded. She smiled as she entered the lift. I quickly thought to myself and crept inside the lift too.I mastered my courage to talk to her.We kept on sneaking quick glancing at each other making sure we dont catch each other offgaurd.I wished the lift to get stuck so we can spend alot time with her.She then pressed GF button and the lift flew down.Upto this time i had not talked to her for i hadtensed to strike a chat.Neither had she.As the lift touched the ground floor, her phonerang but she didnt recieved. She paced towards the other side of the streetpeherps to catch a Mathree to her hood.As she crossed, an over speeding car raced towards her.I shouted pointing towards the car and ran to her.She had seen it and paced to the other side of the road!I saw the car directly towards me.People started to shout and screamed. The car hooted continously.I tried to pace,bt it was too late, the silver coloured roaring subaru was about to hit me when my 6AM morning prayer alarm went a burst! What a nightmare!Enjoy yo week guys. Love u.

A young lady sat in a public transport: an old grumpy lady came and sat by her as she bumped into her with her numerous bags. A Planning Concepts

Decentralization is highly linked with local government system and has been practiced in the country in varying degrees since colonial times. Historically, the concept of decentralization has never been a new concept in countries across the globe. The term attracted attention in the 1950s and 1960s when British and French colonial administrations prepared colonies for independence by devolving responsibilities programs to local authorities

A STORY The price of kindness

A poor boy who was begging from door to door
to feed his hungry stomach, decided he would
ask for a meal at next house. However, at the
next house he lost his nerve when a lovely young
girl opened the door. So instead of a meal, he
asked for a glass of water.
The girl thought, he looked hungry. So, she
brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it
slowly, & asked thereafter : 'how much do I owe
you for this ? You don't owe me anything, she
replied. Mother has taught us never to accept
pay for kindness. He said, then I thank you from
the bottom of my heart.
Years later, that girl (now a woman) became
critically ill, and the local doctors tried their
possible best to save her life but they couldn't
cure her. They finally sent her to the big city
where specialists studied her rare illness. Dr.
Kelly was called in for the consultation, when he
heard the name of the town where she came
from, a strange light filled his eyes.
Immediately, he rose & went down the hall of
the hospital to her room. He recognised her at
once. He went back to the consultation room
determined to do his best to save her life.
From that day, he gave special attention to
that case. After a long struggle, the battle
was won and the woman was cured. Dr. Kelly
requested the business office to pass her final
bill to him for approval. He looked at it, then
wrote something on the bill and It was sent to
her room.
The woman feared opening it cos she was sure it
might take the rest of her life savings to pay
for it . Finally she looked at it and noticed
something was written at the edge of the note,
'Paid In Full With a Glass of Milk'. Tears filled
her eyes as she immediately remembered.
Every form of kindness you show is never in
vain, it reproduces itself. Well, not necessarily
before your eyes, but it always does. I've been
kind to you by sharing this story. And U be kind
to share it with others.
Its good to be good. Always be nice: It will
come back to you.*
